A company spokesman, Robert Andrews, said yesterday the company was not taking any action ''at this time'' other than to issue a statement warning consumers not to take Tylenol capsules.

Responding to questions about the source of the contamination, he said, ''Anything beyond the statement is really speculation at this time.''
